Inspired by traditional Kabuki theater curtain patterns, master craftsman Oishi-san has created an unprecedented jacquard-like selvedge denim with a subtle geometric, almost honeycomb pattern. This 17oz fabric, used to craft a modernized Type III jacket, combines ultra-slubby yarns with low-tension weaving, resulting in a unique texture that promises extraordinary fading potential. The distinctive purple and gold selvedge ticker pays homage to traditional Japanese theater colors, while copper hardware adds refined detail.
Oishi-san is well known for interpreting American workwear staples through his Japanese dystopic lens, and this jacket is no exception. Featuring a modernized Type III fit, it maintains the iconic structure while enhancing functionality with practical side-seam and interior pockets. Designed for versatility, it’s rugged yet refined
Fit Notes: The Kasuri jeans shrank significantly during the one-wash process and run small, but the jackets did not shrink as much. We recommend choosing your usual size. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect fit. Although it is unsanforized, the fabric has been one-washed, so there will be no further shrinkage.
